Adapted Programs – Site Director for Indoor Bocce – Summer 2025
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) is Madison’s public recreation provider. MSCR offers a wide variety of athletic, recreational, arts and enrichment activities and classes for all ages in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming instruction, MSCR on the Move, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, sports camps & clinics, adult & 50+ fitness, adult sport leagues including pickleball, softball and tennis, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling sports, pontoon trips, camping, orienteering and challenge courses.
As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), MSCR also provides afterschool enrichment activities, clubs and sports as well as summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools, Allied Learning Center and Meadowood Neighborhood Center. Afterschool clubs and sports include: arts & enrichment, homework/academic clubs, drama, dance, skiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country and much more!
Program Description:
MSCR Adapted Programs offer a variety of activities, such as fitness classes, social events, and outdoor adventures, and are designed to promote health, wellness, and social connection. Indoor Bocce is open to individuals with disabilities ages 13+ and their caregivers.
Job Description & Duties:
- Provide instruction on the skills and rules of Bocce to participants with disabilities.
- Create a supportive learning environment that encourages socialization among participants
- Set up and break down the Bocce court.
- Manage all equipment used in the program.

- Start Date 06/18/2025
- End Date 08/13/2025
- Hours a Week:
5-6:45pm, Wednesdays
- Work Hours:
2 hours per week (Hours can be combined with other jobs within Adapted programs or other MSCR program areas to reach the desired number of hours.)
- Pay Rate:
$18.00
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with people with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to individual needs and preferences.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in adapted recreation programs.
- Knowledge of bocce rules and game play (training provided if necessary).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
