Group Fitness Strength Instructor
Program Description:
Deliver high-quality, community-based adult strength based fitness classes. The primary responsibility of the instructor is to provide a safe, challenging, and fun environment for all MSCR participants.
Job Description & Duties:
Ensure all equipment required for class is set-up before and put away after each class.
Prepare appropriate progressions and exercise alternatives to meet the needs of individual participants.
Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Actively seek out and engage in continuing education/professional development opportunities, including additional relevant certifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to visually cue and demonstrate exercises.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with class participants.
Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.

- Start Date 01/06/2025
- Hours a Week:
1-2 hours per week.
- Work Hours:
Evenings.
- Pay Rate:
$25-33 per hour.
- Minimum Qualifications:
1 or more years of teaching strength based fitness classes.
CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain in 45 days).
Knowledge of MSCR programs and mission.
Keep certifications current and remain in good standing.
Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Ability to visually cue and demonstrate exercises.
Reliable transportation. - Preferred Qualifications:
A current Fitness or Group Fitness – related certification.
Previous experience in delivering fitness solutions in a group format with a diversity of backgrounds and goals.
