The Art Cart is a free, traveling art program that provides creative, outdoor art-making experiences to children ages 3+ and their families. Activities include both group and individual projects, with a variety of materials. During a typical summer, Friday afternoons features plaster casting on the beach and the third the week of July features the re-painting of the Vilas Park Shoe — a Madison tradition!
Art Cart does not typically operate in inclement weather including heavy rain, high winds, storms, etc.

Monday, July 15 – No Art Cart (Vilas Shoe Prep)
Tuesday, July 16 at Vilas Park Shoe: 9am-12pm & 1-4pm
Wednesday, July 17 at Vilas Park Shoe: 1-4pm, 5-7:30pm
Thursday, July 18 at Vilas Park Shoe: 9am-12pm
Friday, July 19 at Vilas Beach: 9am-12pm
Given the scope and mission of MSCR on the Move; Play on the Move, Clay on the Move and Art Cart reserves the right to preserve the program its intended purpose only: to provide free public access to quality experiences in an outdoor, recreational environment. MSCR on the Move is not a commercial enterprise, therefore requests for rental services from organizations, individuals or government agencies are not available.
